STOP 2: Wild horses on the Cincar mountain (2h)

After a drive of around 20 minutes from the Livno city center, we will arrive on the plateau Kruzi (Cincar mountain) where we will find wild horses. Wild horses in Livno must be experienced. You will find wild horses at the very foot of the Cincar mountain, the Kruzi plateau is home to wild horses. It is an area of about 150 km2, which is a huge place. The altitude of this place is about 1200 m. On the northern side of the plateau is the mountain Cincar, 2006m above sea level, to the east is a meadow of Borova glava and Suicko field, to the west is Glamocko field, to the south is Livanjsko field. This number of wild horses in one place is only notable in some regions of Iceland and Mongolia and nowhere else in the world.

Stop 3: Busko lake (30 min)

On our way back to Sarajevo, we will stop at Busko lake. Busko lake is an accumulation lake located on the south side of the Livanjsko field and northwest of the Duvanjsko field. The name is also a reference to the area surrounding the lake which includes several villages, of which Prisoje is the largest. Busko lake, as well as the entire watershed system, is a man-made, draining waters of the karst aquifer of Western Herzegovina and Western Bosnia regions. The actual lake is elevated 716 m above sea level, has an area of 55.8 km², and a total volume of 782 million m³. One-third of the area falls under the jurisdiction of the municipality of Livno while the remaining two-thirds belong to the municipality of Tomislavgrad. The total area of Busko lake makes it the largest accumulation lake in all of Europe. Busko lake was essentially farmland up until 1974 when it was converted into a lake (artificial reservoir). The hydroelectric power plant system was conceived mainly to provide electricity for the Dalmatian coastline and further the development of tourism. After the photo break, we will continue back to Sarajevo. Expected arrival at the hotel is between 7 and 8 p.m.
